On day three, after breakfast, we got into our hiking groups and set off. Our group went from the grassy region by the lodge to the woods region of the trails and then to the rocky region of Welton Falls. On our way, we found a Hawthorn tree. The Hawthorn tree is a small tree with jagged leaves and huge thorns. Not much further down the trail we came upon a campground and at the end of the campground there was an old cellar hole. The cellar hole was a big rectangular hole lined with rocks to keep the dirt from falling in. There were also some little stone pillars in the middle most likely to keep the upper floor from collapsing. Later, on the side of the trail, there was a cool ledge where a tree was uprooted. After a while of hiking, we had to cross a river. By the time we got there it was raining and time for lunch. Then, after lunch, we walked around by the waterfall and did some sketches. The waterfall was very cool. When we got back to the lodge it was still raining and not long after, we went back from Orange, to Hopkinton. Orange and Hopkinton are more examples of regions.
